Public beta
How do I join the beta?
Install Apple’s TestFlight app, then open the public beta link on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
How do I send beta feedback?
Take a screenshot in the app and share it from TestFlight, or use Send Beta Feedback in the TestFlight app. You can also email us.
When is the full release?
The full release is planned for January 2027, as an update to the existing Trimaginator app on the App Store.
Pro and purchases
What does Pro unlock?
Trimaginator is free to use. The free version exports pictures up to 2048 px and video up to 1080p, with MADE WITH TRIMAGINATOR in the corner. Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the mark and unlocks full-resolution exports.
I bought the original Trimaginator. Do I need to pay again?
No, Pro is already yours. The new version ships as an update to the original app, and the app checks your App Store purchase history. If something looks wrong, email us with the date you bought the app.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought Pro with, then use Restore Purchases in the app.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase.
Using the app
Pan and tilt don’t do much on my photo.
Pick a photo with a clear subject. The app finds the subject and slides it against the background, so on a picture with no obvious subject the effect is gentler. Photos taken in Portrait mode carry a depth map and give the strongest result.
Where are my projects saved?
On your device. On the Mac, each project is a .trimage document you can keep anywhere, like any other file. You can AirDrop a project between your devices.
Can a loop follow music?
Yes. Record sound or load a song, and eighteen of the dials react to the beat, live. A still photo keeps moving for as long as the song lasts. Turn on RECORD CHANGES to record your own tweaks as a loop too.
How do I share a look with a friend?
Share it as a .tripreset file. When they open it, the look appears with their own saved looks.
Exporting
Which formats can I export?
PNG, JPEG and HEIF pictures, SVG vectors, single-stroke line files for pen plotters and laser cutters, MP4 video and Live Photos.
Can I check a video before saving it?
Yes. MP4s and Live Photos play back, looped and with sound, before you save them.
Can I edit a picture from the Photos app?
Yes. Trimaginator works as a Photos editing extension, and the edit is non-destructive, so you can reopen it later and your mesh and look are still there.
Prints
Can I order a print with the free version?
Yes. Prints in any size are available in both Free and Pro.
Who makes and ships my print?
Prints are sold, made and shipped by our partner Peecho. For questions about delivery or a damaged print, email us with your order number and we’ll sort it out with them.
What happens to the picture I send for a print?
It is uploaded only so it can be printed. The privacy policy has the details.
